At first it was fine and she gained lots of fans, but then she realized that she didn't have any privacy and was constantly being harassed.

That is when she decided to go off line and only do a very few things on the Internet.



Miley is a good example of what can happen if you are addicted to the Internet. The web is neither good or bad, it is what you make of it as a user. There are some dangers on the web that you should look to avoid.



For example, be careful with what photos you put up on the web. You know that once a photo is up, anyone can use it. It is there for the taking, so make sure you want other people to be able to see a photo before posting it on your social media sites.



If you want to express an opinion, it is really best that you do so through a blog. However, if you do leave comments and chat online, then make sure you don't say anything you may regret - your words will always be out there, floating around Cyberspace. You could also use a different name. And remember, never give out addresses or telephone numbers!



The Internet can take a lot of your time. People spend hours and hours a day surfing the net or chatting on the web. Remember to do everything in moderation and to make time for other important things in your life: your family, friends, homework, hobbies, pets, books...
